The Delta Gamma At-Large chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing held its induction ceremony on Sunday, April 14 in Marquette's Alumni Memorial Union.

Exceptional undergraduate and graduate nursing students from Marquette University and Alverno College were invited to join the organization, which has approximately 135,000 active members from around the world.

"All the honorees have shown outstanding commitment to scholarship and to the nursing profession," said Dr. Patricia Varga, nursing professor at Alverno College and Delta Gamma At-Large board member. "The Delta Gamma At-Large chapter has a long and proud history of advancing excellence in nurse education. I'm proud to say this year's class continues that tradition."

"I'm always honored to be a part of this wonderful event," said Dr. Donald Miller, clinical assistant professor in the Marquette College of Nursing. "Every year, it's exciting to see exceptional nursing students being inducted into this honor society. They are following the call to transform the nursing profession and to improve global health care"
