Preparations for the Summit in Sibiu in a straight line

The National and Local Authorities met on Friday, 12 January 2018 in Sibiu to discuss the latest developments in the preparation of the Summit to be held in 2019 when Romania holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The meeting was a good opportunity to clarify a number of organizational issues already planned in the successive meetings that took place regularly in the second half of last year.

On the agenda of the talks there was the organizational plan of the Summit, which envisages, among other things, the hosting of the events at the Sibiu City Hall and the logistical arrangement of the infrastructure in the central squares of the city.

The meeting was attended by a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Minister Delegate of European Affairs Victor Negrescu, a representative of the Presidential Administration, the Prefect of Sibiu County, Adela Muntean, the President of the County Council, Daniela Cîmpean, the Mayor of Sibiu, Astrid Fodor, and representatives of institutions with responsibilities in the field of protection and guard.
