HELMA Eigenheimbau AG reports record new order intake in 2021

Lehrte, January 11, 2022 - HELMA Eigenheimbau AG increased its consolidated new order intake from EUR 312.5 million to EUR 446.6 million in the 2021 financial year, thereby significantly exceeding the previous year's record level.

In this context it is to be noted that, in relation to the Efficiency House 55, the unexpected discontinuation of the subsidy for newbuilds as of January 31, 2022 has led to marked accelerated purchasing effects on new order intake in the fourth quarter of 2021, which are estimated to amount to up to 10 % of the total new order intake. Even excluding these accelerated purchasing effects, however, new order intake would have stood above the EUR 400 million level, representing growth of around 30 %. The company's guidance from July 2021 envisaged growth in new order intake for the past financial year in the magnitude of 20-25%.

All business segments contributed to this pleasing sales result, as can be seen from the overview of new order intake under the following link:

The new orders that have been received will be realised mainly in 2022 and 2023. This gives the HELMA Group an excellent basis for the growth it targets over the coming years.

Focus on sustainability: Efficiency House 40 EE becomes new HELMA standard for individual detached houses
From February 1, 2022 HELMA will already offer individual detached houses constructed to standard of the highest efficiency house level. HELMA customers thereby benefit long-term from extremely high energy efficiency and at the same time make an important contribution to achieving Germany's climate protection targets. Furthermore, the German government is currently subsidising the Efficiency House 40 EE with an amount of EUR 33,750 per residential unit. As a consequence, HELMA's high-quality dream houses built using solid construction methods remain economically attractive.
