Military dog handlers of the army corps of the Black Sea Fleet began preparing for the True Friend competition

Military dog handlers of the engineering division of the army corps of the Black Sea Fleet have begun preparing for the first stage of the competition of the Army International games True Friend.

Scheduled classes are held with service dogs, where German and Belgian Shepherds perform exercises to overcome the athletics barrier, trenches and fords, the destroyed bridge. The most difficult of the exercises are a blind fence up to one and a half meters high and a folding ladder up to two meters in height.

The personnel, together with the dogs, work out a set of training sessions on training with overcoming an obstacle course, searching for disguised mines and detecting explosives in various objects.

Also, the military personnel study the basic safety requirements during the engineering reconnaissance of the area, the procedure for detecting explosive objects by a dog and their further neutralization.

The first stage of the cynological competition will be held at the end of this year among military cynologists of formations and military units of the army corps of the Black Sea Fleet. The winners will represent their divisions at the second stage of the competition, where they will identify the best in the formation.
