Family Partnership of Frederick, Maryland, Hosts Two Open Houses This Fall

Family Partnership has been providing vital services at no cost to families in Frederick County for 32 years focusing on family resilience and overall well-being. Family Partnership's mission is "to support and empower children, youth and families with the knowledge and skills needed to meet basic needs, to successfully navigate life's challenges and to advance their hopes and dreams". Using a science and research based approach, applying best practices and focusing on building the Protective Factors for Strong Families, the program creates strong foundations for the healthy development of children, youth, and families.

Last fiscal year, Family Partnership served a total of 376 individuals. Of those, 142 were parents, 191 were children and 43 were youth aged 16 to 24 years of age. Through Family Partnership's programs and services, 42 individuals obtained employment, 11 earned their GED, and 23 completed formal parent education. Families can also receive services in their home that promote positive parenting and healthy child development as well as case management and referral services. Family Partnership also offers evening parenting groups for mother's and father's that include childcare. Many of the participants rely upon Family Partnership's transportation service to get to and from the center.

Family Partnership welcomes all of Frederick County to their upcoming open house sessions to learn more about the programs and services provided. Open houses are scheduled on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and Friday, October 14, 2022, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Refreshments, tours and information about how to participate in programs and services will be available.
