CMS SMRC Audits Look at Home Health Second Certification Period

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Supplemental Medical Review Contractor (SMRC), Noridian, is conducting a post-payment claim review for Medicare home health services within a second certification period with dates of service from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022. This is part of the implementation of the new Patient-Driven Groupings Model.
