Participation at the 46th Annual Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Group of 77 and China

On September 23, 2022, on the sidelines of the "High Level Week" of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin took part in the 46th Annual Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Group of 77 and China.

At the meeting dedicated to the topic "Solution to the food, fuel and financial crisis", the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his opinion on the problems of developing countries, including recovery from COVID-19, rising prices for electricity and raw materials, logistics, and disaster prevention.

During his speech, Sirojiddin Muhriddin recalled the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Emomali Rahmon, to declare 2025 the International Year for the Protection of Glaciers and establish the International Glacier Protection Fund under the auspices of the United Nations.
