BMI Indie Spotlight: Kid Bloom

For Kid Bloom, neon production, hip-hop beat-work, and psychedelic guitar emissions revolve around unfiltered honesty. The Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist crafts a signature style independent of era and genre: 'When I'm writing, I do what comes naturally. I'm distilling all of my favorite things into one futuristic and nostalgic world.' Kid Bloom's vision crystallized on the 2019 Lemonhead EP, which propelled his total stream tally to 100 million by the end of that year and garnered praise from publications like The Line of Best Fit and OnesToWatch. His sonic palette is steeped in influences like Tame Impala, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Big Star, and David Bowie, and his most recent project, the Blood Sugar EP, showcases creative evolvement (and a feature from The Neighourhood's Jesse Rutherford) that was a result of getting delightfully uncomfortable.
