BOST ANNOUNCES MARION INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) and the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) today announced over $340,000 in a new DRA investment to strengthen Southern Illinois' infrastructure, economy, and create jobs. The investment was made through the Community Infrastructure Fund, DRA's secondary grant program to support flood control measures and improve public infrastructure and transportation. It will be used by the Lake of Egypt Water District to expand its water and sewer system so that they can provide services to Road Ranger LLC, a new travel center along I-57.

'I have long supported the Delta Regional Authority's mission to grow jobs and strengthen our economy in Southern Illinois,' said Bost. 'This investment will allow the Lake of Egypt Water District to expand water and sewer systems to address a need, creating jobs in the process. I look forward to working with DRA to strengthen public-private partnerships and encourage economic development and job creation in our regions.'

'DRA's mission is to support economic development by making investments into the physical infrastructure and human capital of the Delta region,' said DRA Chairman Caldwell. 'This investment will provide much needed improvements to water and sewer systems to provide greater economic opportunities for southern Illinois residents and businesses.'

MARION: Williamson County Utilities Extension. DRA Investment: $340,621; Total Project Investment: $10,377,653. DRA funds will be used by the Lake of Egypt Water District to expand the water and sewer system to support Road Ranger LLC, a new travel center along I-57.
