Speaker Berri on whether there is a solution: "God willing, it will be good".

PM Mikati: "Independence would not have happened if the Lebanese were not united and the meeting that took place today was a serious dialogue. God willing, it will lead to good".

After the symbolic military parade at the Ministry of Defense ended, President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, and Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, moved to Baabda Palace, in the first Presidential car, where they held a meeting that lasted about an hour, during which they discussed the general situation in the country from different aspects and recent developments.

When Speaker Berri was leaving the Palace, he was asked if there was any "solution", and he replied: "God willing, it will be good".

As for PM Mikati, he spoke to the journalists after the tripartite meeting, and said:

"First of all, I would like to address the Lebanese people with a word, wishing that all of the media and citizens will be well.

Independence is an important memory in itself, but let us remember what led to independence. What led to it is the Lebanese consensus and their consensus in the National Pact, which took place between President Beshara El Khoury and Prime Minister Riad El Solh.

They gave up all their privacy for the sake of Lebanon's unity and to save it at the time.

Independence would not have happened if the Lebanese were not united, and if we are not united, we will never be able to maintain independence.

Yesterday, I read a lot about independence, on social media, and I was drawn to what someone said that your celebration of independence as a divorced woman celebrates her wedding anniversary. True, but let us not forget that before she was divorced, if she had remained on the understanding that was during the marriage, she would not have been divorced. Understanding and dialogue are the basis, distance is estrangement, and estrangement leads to evil. The meeting, like the one that happened today, was a serious dialogue, and God willing, it will lead to good.

Congratulations on this occasion".
