Wagga Wagga’s own Jamie Way lands on Riverina’s 1152 Triple M Breakfast

Triple M today announced that Wagga-born multiskilled entertainer Jamie Way will join Leigh Ryan for the Breakfast shift on Riverina's 1152 Triple M from Monday, July 25.

Born and bred in Wagga, Jamie prepares to add yet another skill of radio announcer to his resume of artistry. Performer, writer, video and still photographer, actor, media producer, standup comedian, and father of two children, there's no doubt together with Leigh, Jamie will deliver an exciting and colourful Breakfast show for listeners every morning.

Lead singer in local band Groove Factorie, Jamie is also never short of a laugh as a regular performer at the Riverina Comedy Club as a stand-up comedian. Listeners may have seen Jamie (and his antics) on stage, playing various roles in local cabaret and live music productions including Peter Cox's The Lizard of Oz, The Great Pizzarotti and Pelvis: The Man Who Would Be King. Jamie has also been seen on the screens (of course he has), playing the role of 'Shep' in Wagga Wagga's own feature film Backyard Ashes. and in feature films Felony and The Merger.

Local is in Jamie's DNA and he can't wait to bring this to the station he grew up listening to.

"As a lifetime listener and fan, I'm thrilled to join the Triple M team here in Wagga," said Jamie.

"I grew up listening to Nightlife with Luke Grealy on 2WG - every night, while I was supposed to be doing my homework - and to be offered the opportunity to contribute to that continuing legacy is incredibly exciting!"

Co-host Leigh said: "He can sing, he can dance, he's funny and he's pretty much who I think I am after a couple of beers."

SCA Regional Content Director - Wagga Wagga, Duncan Potts, said: "I'm very excited to have Jamie 'officially' join our Triple M Riverina family. Jamie has been a regular visitor to the studios over the years showcasing his extraordinary talent. I cannot wait to hear what Jamie and Leigh bring to breakfast from Monday July 25."

Catch Jamie & Leigh for Breakfast on Riverina's 1152 Triple M 6-9am weekdays or via the LiSTNR app from Monday, July 25.
