[Attachment] The second showing of Hazelwood's Friday Night Flicks is scheduled for Fri., June 28, at Queen Ann Park, which is on Canisius Lane between Queen Ann Drive and Hazelvalley. The featured movie will be 'Jurassic World-Fallen Kingdom.' Starting time is around 8:30 pm.
The movie occurs three years after the Jurassic World theme park has been abandoned. A team of mercenaries arrives on the island to retrieve a DNA sample from remains of the Indominus Rex, which lie at the bottom of a lagoon inside the park. Two mercenaries in a submarine extract a piece of bone from the remains and send it to the surface. But they are devoured by the Mosasaurus living in the lagoon. The rest of the team on the island is attacked by a Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex). As the team barely escapes, the lagoon gate is left open, causing the Mosasaurus to excape into the ocean. Come watch the movie and find out why the bone DNA sample is needed.
Another storyline of the movie involves the impending volcanic eruption on Isla Nublar. A U.S. Senate hearing is held to determine whether the dinosaurs should be saved or not. Jurassic World's former operations manager, Claire Dearing, creates a Dinosaur Protection Group to save the dinosaurs. After the U.S. Senate rejects rescuing the dinosaurs, Claire is contacted by Benjamin Lockwood, John Hammond's former partner in creating dinosaur-cloning technology. Claire meets with Lockwood and his aide, Eli Mills, and she is told they plan to move the dinosaurs to a new island sanctuary. Mills is concerned about locating Blue, one of the four raptors trained by Owen Grady. Clair convinces Grady to go on a mission to find Blue and help Lockwood's team move the dinosaurs to the other island. But is that what really happens? The only way to find out is to see the movie.
Admission is free and open to the public for the June 28th showing. Any donations to help offset the costs will be appreciated. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks and refreshments. Glass containers, however, are prohibited. In case of bad weather, the movie will be shown in the Hazelwood Community Center gymnasium.
