Showcasing sustainability progress at Amcor: Education for greater participation

As a leader in responsible packaging, we know that educating consumers, governments and industry leaders is key to help keep packaging out of the environment:

• We are proactively and regularly using a range of channels - including our website, media and podcasts - to communicate with our customers, consumers and governments about how they can play their role in keeping packaging out of the environment.
• For example, in the US, we are working with the Every Bottle Back initiative to educate and encourage consumers to recycle the bottles they use.
• Find out more about how we're working with the Recycling Partnership to improve consumer education here: https://www.amcor.com/insights/big-ideas

We are also proud that we are increasingly relied upon to share and establish packaging design standards as well as driving alignment and consistency around the world.

We have worked closely with the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) to create the Golden Design Rules which aim to decrease the complexity of the recycling process and increase recycling rates. Along with the CGF we have worked to inform governments about the challenges and opportunities around extended producer responsibility legislation and ensure any legislation provides strong sustainable outcomes.
