Kent Taylor Receives Highest Honor in Restaurant Industry

Peers Vote Taylor Operator of the Year

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kent Taylor, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Texas Roadhouse, Inc. (NasdaqGS: TXRH) was named Operator of the Year during the 2014 MUFSO Industry Awards Gala October 6 in Dallas.

Restaurant peers select the Operator of the Year from an exclusive list of the 2014 Golden Chain Honorees, which included Taylor; Sandra Cochran, president and chief executive of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc.; Greg Creed, chief executive of Taco Bell; Joseph DePinto, president and chief executive of 7-Eleven Inc.; and Aylwin Lewis, president and chief executive of Potbelly Corp.

When asked about the award Taylor said, "My goal was never to be chairman of a board or run an international company. Operator of the Year and the Golden Chain Award are two of the latest accolades for Taylor and Texas Roadhouse.
