Elect New Officers and Directors at Annual Meeting

The Oregon Bankers Association (OBA), Oregon's only trade association dedicated to the banking industry and its customers, elected its 2019-2020 board officers and directors during its annual meeting on June 26.

The OBA membership elected the following officers:

CHAIR: Craig Wanichek
President & Chief Executive Officer
Summit Bank
Eugene

CHAIR-ELECT: Jeffrey Sumpter
President & Chief Executive Officer
Lewis & Clark Bank
Oregon City

SECRETARY-TREASURER: Gordon Zimmerman
President & Chief Executive Officer
Citizens Bank
Corvallis

The OBA membership also elected the following new directors:

  • Ted B. Austin, SVP & Market Leader, Private Client Reserve

  • Ryan Dempster, President
    Willamette Valley Bank, Salem

The following directors were re-elected to new three-year terms on the board:

  • David Gorman, SVP & Division Executive - West

These new and re-elected directors join the following individuals currently serving terms on the OBA board:

The OBA Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on financial literacy and developing the next generations of bankers, also held elections for its board of directors. The following new director was elected:
