Harrisburg Family STEM Festival – January 19th

Target Audience: Elementary students in the Harrisburg School Distract, their siblings, and parents/guardians.

When: Friday, January 19th, 2018

Time: 6:30pm to 8pm

Location: Horizon Elementary

Cost: Free

Goals:

  1. The immediate goal is to foster exploration of STEM topics as a shared experience between students and their family members.
  2. Promote and sustain positive attitudes toward STEM in students and community participants.
  3. Model diversity and engage underrepresented populations in STEM activities to encourage interest in STEM careers.
  4. Develop and advance community partnerships around STEM, including local education agencies, colleges and universities, industry representatives, and non-profit organizations.
