Global Competition Review Names Lisa Phelan and Megan Gerking as Women in Antitrust

Global Competition Review has named Washington, D.C. partners Lisa Phelan and Megan Gerking to its list of Women in Antitrust for 2021. Now in its sixth edition, the list recognizes women at the forefront of competition law who have made groundbreaking contributions to the ever-changing, increasingly globalized competition landscape.

Lisa Phelan, former Chief of the National Criminal Enforcement and Washington Criminal I Sections of the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), is a partner and Co-chair of Morrison & Foerster's Global Antitrust Law Practice and Investigations + White Collar Group. With more than 25 years of service at the DOJ as one of the leading authorities in criminal antitrust matters, Lisa draws upon her unmatched criminal investigations, litigation, and enforcement experience to guide clients through sensitive matters pertaining to U.S. and international cartel actions and white collar investigations, and to rapidly assess and address their total exposure to potential claims of unlawful collusion. Lisa is known and respected by cartel enforcers around the world, and regularly coordinates multijurisdictional investigations.

Megan Gerking, a partner in Morrison & Foerster's Global Antitrust Law Practice, specializes in government-facing antitrust matters. Megan represents companies in criminal and civil conduct investigations before the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division, Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and state enforcers, and in all phases of the merger review process before U.S. and foreign competition authorities. Prior to joining private practice, Megan was a trial attorney in the DOJ's Antitrust Division, where she investigated and prosecuted criminal violations of the antitrust laws.
