The Ladies in Lane Five

Marshfield Pirate Pride runs deep at the Mingus Park Pool. Three Marshfield High School (MHS) alums; Marilyn Wilson (Class of '72), Mary Paczesniak (Class of '68), and Bonnie Smith (Class of '68). get together for each home swim meet to support the current Pirate swimmers. All three have long histories with the pool. They have been using Mingus Pool since they were children and Marilyn Wilson was a part of the MHS swim team.

As dedicated volunteers for over 10 years, they have been gifted special "golden" stopwatches and their own reserved lane. Wonderful volunteers like these three are what continue to make Coos Bay a great place to live.
