Republic Day 2022 – Wreath Laid at Gaurav Stambh

Rear Admiral Sameer Saxena, Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet, laid a wreath at the Gaurav Stambh on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day. Gaurav Stambh is a monument that commemorates 'Victory at Sea' and pays tribute to the valour, fortitude and personal sacrifice of personnel of the Indian Navy in the line of duty. As part of celebrations on the Republic day, all naval ships in harbour at Mumbai were also 'Dressed Overall' with various signal flags displayed from stem to stern, through their masthead.
