Two applications proposed by the Aboriginal Housing Company for the approved mixed-use development, the Pemulwuy Project at The Block in Redfern, are on exhibition until 27 October for community consultation.
The proposed concept plan modification together with a new State Significant Development application proposed changes to the approved student accommodation.
These applications include an increase in building height from six to 24 storeys and the number of student accommodation beds from 154 to 596.
The Department of Planning and Environment is keen to hear the community's views on the proposals.
Anthea Sargeant, Executive Director of Key Sites and Industry Assessments said no decision has been made and the Department will review all feedback before any project approval.
'Community consultation is an integral part of the planning process and the applicant will have to respond to the feedback we receive,' Ms Sargeant said.
'All feedback is taken into consideration as part of the assessment process.'
'It's easy to participate by going online and we encourage everyone to take a look and have their say.'
'These proposed changes have been sought by the Aboriginal Housing Company.'
