COLLINSVILLE, IL, NOVEMBER 30, 2021 - Tis the season of giving and Ameren Illinois announced today that the company will be contributing a total of $60,000 to nonprofit organizations as part of a special "12 Days of Giving" campaign. Twelve different nonprofit organizations within Ameren Illinois' service territory will be awarded $5,000 to help meet the needs of local residents through the holidays and beyond.

Beginning November 30, Ameren Illinois will announce the organizations who receive the donations on its Facebook page.

The donations were made possible through Ameren Cares, which connects Ameren Illinois with communities through charitable giving and volunteering. A key focus of the program is to partner with nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life in Ameren Illinois' service territory. In 2021, Ameren Illinois has contributed $2.6 million to more than 170 organizations.
