By opening the 2020 season at the Ancient Theater, the Beethoven marathon with the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Diego Matheuz, on the Gerhard Oppitz piano, which will perform the following program: 20 July Concerto for piano and orchestra n. 1 in C major op.15 and Symphony n. 5 in C minor op. 67; July 21 Symphony n. 8 in F major op. 93 and Symphony n. 6 in F major op. 68; July 22 Concert for piano and orchestra n. 3 in C minor op. 37th Symphony n. 3 in E flat major op. 55; July 23 Concerto for piano and orchestra n. 5 in E flat. Maj. op. 73 and Symphony n. 7 in A major op. ninety two; July 24 Symphony n. 9 in D minor for solo choir and orchestra op. 125 with the Sicilian Opera Choir. 'It will be a musical journey - says the superintendent of the FOSS, Antonio Marcellino - what the Symphony Orchestra will propose for the summer evenings of Taormina.
