Three IL-76 aircraft of the Russian Defence Ministry landed at the Chkalovsky airfield in the Moscow region

Three Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Defence Ministry, involved in the evacuation of citizens from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, landed at the Chkalovsky airfield in the Moscow region.

The planes delivered more than 200 citizens of the Russian Federation and Afghanistan from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

Currently, passengers are undergoing customs and anticovid control.

On the eve of the Russian Defence Ministry aircraft delivered 36 tons of humanitarian cargo to Afghanistan.

On behalf of the President of the Russian Federation V.Putin, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, organized the third evacuation by military transport aircraft from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan of citizens of the Russian Federation, CSTO member states (Kyrgyzstan) and Afghan students studying at Russian universities.

The Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, created an aviation group of 3 military transport aircraft to carry out the export, which took off from the Chkalovsky airfield to Kabul as soon as possible.

Earlier on November 18 this year, more than 200 citizens of the Russian Federation, CSTO member states (Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia), Ukraine and Afghanistan were evacuated from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan by military transport aircraft.
