Serious Crash Near Golden Harvest

PRESS RELEASE

On April 30, 2024, the New York State Police responded to a serious injury motor vehicle crash on State Route 9 just north of Maple Lane South in the town of Kinderhook at approximately 6:10 a.m.

Initial investigation determined a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado operated by, Kyle Bleau, age 28, of Valatie, NY, was northbound on State Route 9. A 2004 Honda Accord, operated by Mia Washington, age 18, of Bronx, NY, exited a parking lot making a left-hand turn in front of the Silverado causing the collision.

Mia Washington was extracted from her vehicle by Niverville Fire Department and air lifted to Albany Medical Center with serious but believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Her five passengers, Anyce Cuspert, age 20, Princewill Eziako, age 18, Paloma Rodriguez, age 21, Samya Montague, age 18, and a fifteen-year-old, all from Bronx, NY, were transported by ambulance to Albany Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. Kyle Bleau was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was reopened shortly prior to 10:10 a.m.

This investigation remains ongoing.
