The University of Jamestown women's basketball team aims to remain unbeaten in Great Plains Athletic Conference action as they travel to Orange City, Iowa, to face Northwestern College Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
The Jimmies extended their winning streak to five games with a 71-69 victory over No. 7 Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) University Wednesday at Harold Newman Arena. The win snapped a five-game losing streak to the Tigers and was the first over DWU since November 11, 2011.
Northwestern enters Saturday's matchup ranked No. 11 in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 poll, having won six of its first seven games to start the season. The Red Raiders started 6-0 before losing 92-84 at No. 5 Dordt (Iowa) on Wednesday.
The last meeting between the Jimmies and Red Raiders was February 13 in Jamestown, with Northwestern coming out on top 88-58. After leading 19-18 following the first quarter, UJ was outscored 50-23 in the second and third quarters to trail by 26 entering the final period.
UJ is currently 7th in the NAIA in steals per game (15.7) and 11th in total steals (110). Noelle Josephson

Jamestown is at Mount Marty (S.D.) on Monday, November 25 and will play an exhibition game on November 30 at Concordia-St. Paul before returning home to host Dordt (Iowa) on December 4 at 6 p.m.
