WASHINGTON - Airports Council International - North America (ACI-NA) President and CEO Kevin M. Burke and American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) President and CEO Todd Hauptli today issued the below statementfollowing the passage of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024:

"ACI-NA and AAAE thank members of the Senate and the House - especially committee leaders Rep. Sam Graves, Rep. Rick Larsen, Sen. Maria Cantwell, and Sen. Ted Cruz - for their tireless work to pass critical FAA reauthorization legislation that will provide much-needed certainty and important enhancements to the nation's aviation system. The authorization of $4 billion annually through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and other important reforms will help airports pursue and complete important infrastructure projects to improve the air travel experience for millions of passengers across the country. This bill will have a positive and lasting impact on U.S. airports for years to come. "
