COLUMBUS, Ga. | Four Georgia College & State University women's tennis players were honored by the Peach Belt Conference Thursday (April 25) evening at its tournament banquet.

Jada Young and Chiara Santoro were named to All-PBC first team in singles, while Young teamed up with Ashton Morrison to be named to the All-PBC first team in doubles. Ashley Bentz was also honored by the league as its co-Freshman of the Year along with Flagler College's Toni Pfeiffer.

It is the second All-Peach Belt nod in singles for both Santoro and Young, who were both named to the second team in 2023. It is also the second All-PBC laurel for Young and Morrison in doubles as they were named to the second team a year ago. Bentz is just the third GCSU women's tennis player to be honored as Freshman of the Year in the history of the Peach Belt and the first since Mia Paavilainen earned the accolade in 2003.

Santoro, who is a junior from Santa Ursula, Spain, compiled a 14-6 ledger in singles, with a 13-6 mark at No. 2 singles for the Bobcats in 2024, while Young, who is a junior from Hilon Head Island, South Carolina, posted an 11-9 mark at No. 1 singles for GCSU.

Young and Morrison, who is a senior from Cumming, Georgia, won nine matches at No. 1 doubles for Georgia College.

Bentz, a freshman from Suwanee, Georgia, had a sensational first year at GCSU, accumulating a 13-8 mark primarily at No. 3 singles and a 14-6 record primarily at No. 3 doubles.
