Join City of Boulder Rangers for a chat and a free beverage at Eben G Fine park

Community members are invited to meet and chat with Rangers from the City of Boulder's Parks and Recreation (BPR) and Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) departments during our Coffee with a Ranger event. The event will take place from 8-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11 at Eben G Fine Park.

The Café Alejandro food truck will be on-site and community members can enjoy one free beverage per person, courtesy of the city.

City of Boulder Rangers provide a variety of enforcement, education and security services for the community. OSMP Ranger Naturalistsare certified law enforcement officers and their duties include helping our community protect our shared open space, conducting search and rescue operations, responding to wildfires and providing environmental education. BPR Urban Rangersare limited commission officers. They support a safe and welcoming experience for all in Boulder's urban parks and enforce local rules and regulations at BPR parks and facilities.

At the event, community members are encouraged to provide their feedback on their favorite way to play and their biggest concerns in our parks and open spaces. This feedback can help guide our Rangers as they complete all their duties.

"Rangers are an important part of the city's efforts to make sure that everyone can access the outdoors safely and to protect our natural resources. This event is a great opportunity to get to know them and the amazing work they do," said Boulder Parks and Recreation Director Ali Rhodes.

"Our city Rangers play an important role in sustaining and protecting the lands we enjoy every day," said OSMP Directory Dan Burke. "We also depend on them to help protect people and our community. We hope people come to this event and learn about the important work they do for everyone in Boulder."

This event is the first of three planned events. Coffee with a Ranger will also happen in August at East Community Park and in November at Foothills Park.
