DAC Beachcroft's innovative 360 immersive experience scoops B2B Marketing Award

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce that it has won the gold prize for 'Best Use of Digital Techniques and Technologies' at the 2022 B2B Marketing Awards for the firm's What If? 360-degree immersive experience.

Part of the DACB's Noisy Innovation campaign, What If? uses augmented reality (AR) to immerse clients and colleagues in DACB's world of innovation. The experience is accessed through a QR code on a mobile device. Users tap to place a portal in the AR space and then physically step forward to move through the portal and enter a 360-degree world. While being taken on a guided journey through the world, users can move around and explore it in 360 degrees. At the end of the journey, interactive hot spots appear to guide users to landing pages where they can discover more about innovation at DACB. A desktop experience is also available for PCs.

DACB's What If? campaign ran during winter 2021 and coincided with the five-year anniversary of the founding of DACB's research and development hub, known as Innovations Lab.

Pete Allchorne, partner and Head of Innovations Lab, said, "Because this campaign was focused on innovation, we set out to deliver it in an innovative way. The pandemic meant we weren't able to bring clients into the firm's physical innovation spaces, so we used AR to take innovation to them via a virtual world. What If? has been extremely well received by clients and colleagues and has reinforced our reputation as law firm that leads the market on innovation."

The B2B Marketing Awards are the largest and most prestigious marketing awards in B2B and honour the most innovative, creative and forward-thinking marketers and their campaigns. The awards ceremony took place in London on 16 November 2022.

The Noisy Innovation project team was led by DACB's Head of Communications, Brooke Johnston, and included Pete Allchorne; Nathan Butcher, partner and Director of Clients & Markets; Julia Felton, Senior Marketing Manager; Lucy Mitchell, Senior Digital & Brand Manager; and Maddie Jagatia, Project Manager.
