The crews of the transport aviation of the Western Military District conducted flights at night in the conditions of a meteorological minimum

In St. Petersburg, at the airfield of a separate transport mixed aviation regiment of the Leningrad air force and air defence formation of the Western Military District, training flights were conducted in difficult meteorological conditions at night.

The crews of Tu-134M, AN-72, An-12, An-26 military transport aircraft, as well as Mi-8 multi-purpose helicopters, worked out the elements of piloting in conditions of limited visibility due to low cloud cover and precipitation during the day and at night with heavy snowfall.

Landing in difficult weather conditions with a set minimum of weather is one of the main criteria for the professionalism of a pilot of military transport, transport and special aviation.
