MEDIA ADVISORY: USDA Deputy Secretary & Congressman G. K. Butterfield to Announce Climate-Smart Infrastructure for Rural Communities Across NC

RALEIGH, N.C.- Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Jewel Bronaugh and Congressman G. K. Butterfield will announce climate-smart projects benefiting rural North Carolinians at the North Carolina Electric Cooperatives Raleigh location on Monday at 11 am.

USDA is investing in renewable energy projects that will benefit rural residents across the state including Bertie, Gates, Halifax, Hertford, and Northampton counties.

After the announcement, Bronaugh and Butterfield will make themselves available for questions about the investment in rural North Carolina and across the country.
