Metra Will Be Upgrading the Railroad Crossing on Gifford Road Starting May 15

Starting Wednesday, May 15, Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corp "Metra" will be upgrading the railroad crossing on Gifford Rd between Vulcan Blvd and Bluff City Blvd.

Temporary road closures will be in effect, please follow detour signs. This replacement project will take around eight days to complete, reopening Gifford Rd on Thursday, May 23.
