Webex Racing Ahead with Innovations and Partnerships

April was a month of leadership by Webex on all fronts. Our team's dedication and commitment to excellence continues to accelerate our innovations and our partnerships. Here are a few highlights from a month filled with incredible progress:

Brand Partnerships

McLaren Racing Formula 1 Team & Webex Roars in to Italy

Webex traveled to Italy with McLaren Formula 1 racing team to the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Webex powered the second slipstream event of the year for an exclusive pre and post-race show available only to McLaren partners. Through Webex, invited guests were able to view exclusive content from trackside, watch the McLaren garage, listen to interviews with the drivers, management, and key team personnel and watch the live race feed. Next up is the Portuguese Grand Prix from Portimão, Portugalon May 2nd.

Elton John AIDS Foundation + Webex - Opens the Door to Attend Exclusive Pre-Oscar Party

Before the Academy Awards kicked off on April 25th, Webex partnered with the Elton John Aids Foundation to support its first ever virtual Academy Awards Pre-Party hosted by Elton John, David Furnish, and Neil Patrick Harris. Those who attended were treated to visits from celebrities like Lady Gaga, Dr. Anthony Fauci, David Williams and others. Everyone also heard a fabulous live performance from Grammy-winner Dua Lipa and, best of all, the event included a duet with the one and only Elton John. What a treat! With Webex support and contribution, EJAF raised an incredible $3 million to reach more young people who are affected by HIV/AIDS around the world.

NBC Sports Bay Area and Sports California and Webex

What's possible when the worlds of sports and technology play together…

The momentum continues! Our sports collaboration in 2021 continues between Cisco Webex and major sports empires, such as McLaren Racing, PGA Golf Australia, and German pro cycling team, Team DSM with the latest addition with NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California!

Webex partnered with NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California to enhance hybrid sports experiences. Through Webex technology, fans can get closer to the action with game highlights, player-to-audience interaction, and promos surrounding the local Bay Area teams and athletes.

I'm so excited to share Cisco is now the official video-conferencing technology partner for NBC Sports Bay Area coverage of the Golden State Warriors and San FranciscoGiants, and NBC Sports California's coverage of the San Jose Sharks. Go Sharks!

Product Awards

I'm thrilled we were once again recognized for this fabulous award! In February, we won 1st place in 'Best of' TrustRadius Award categories. Once again in April, Webex earned more recognition with the Top Rated 2021 Award in Collaboration. For more details read the blog on the award's significance.

Telehealth Connector

Unified Messaging (Cisco Unity Connection) with Google Workspace

This is a big time saver, one we all need! Cisco's Unity Connection is now integrated with Google Workspace. Cisco Unity Connection (CUC) Voicemail + Google Workspace allows CUCM-based services with CUC Unified Messaging to synchronize voicemail recordings and transcriptions to the user's Gmail inbox for playback. This means whoever uses CUC and Google Workspace products will have all their messages and voicemails seamlessly shown in one place.

New Featurefor SharePoint/OneDrive integration into Webex

How many times have you shared a OneDrive or SharePoint file in Webex and then had to go back and grant access through OneDrive or SharePoint? Now you can share access of OneDrive/SharePoint files with everyone in the space, with just one click. No need to add access to users separately. Keep permissions synced with new member additions with the re-share option.
