ISO 20022 rollout for general meetings - Facilitation of Relationship Management Applications (RMA) key exchange

19.10.2021

As part of our regular communications, and further to Announcement C21031, Clearstream Banking1 would like to inform customers about the process of RMA key exchange.

The RMA key is required for the exchange of General Meeting messages, in ISO 20022 via SWIFT Finplus, applicable as of 22 November 2021.

Clearstream Banking has already initiated the process.

In more detail:

  • Clearstream sends an authorisation to receive seev.004 and seev.005;
  • Customers need to accept this request; and
  • In turn, send the authorisation to Clearstream Banking allowing the sending of messages seev.001, seev.002, seev.003, seev.006, seev.007 and seev.008.

This is an ongoing exercise that started on Saturday, 9 October 2021 and will continue on the following two Saturdays (23 and 30 October 2021), so we kindly request customers to be alert and accept accordingly.

Once RMA exchange is finalised, customers must communicate the Distinguished Name (DN) and the list of accounts that must be linked to the DN via SWIFT message MT599 and via email to [email protected].
