Musical Performance by Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra at Cankarjev Dom Ljubljana, Republic of Slovenia

On 29 August 2022, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of Thailand to Slovenia, and Embassy's officials attended a musical performance by Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra under supervision of the College of Music, Mahidol University at Cankarjev Dom, Ljubljana, Slovenia. The musical performance is part of the Thailand Phil Europe Tour on an invitation to showcase at the 70th Ljubljana Festival, an international summer music festival in Slovenia, held annually for 70 years.

On this occasion, Mrs. Simona Volaj Rakuscek, Honorary Consul-General of Thailand in Ljubljana, several representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia as well as Friends of Thailand in Slovenia attended the concert to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Slovenia.

The concert performed by Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Alfonso Scarano with Kristof Barati as a soloist (violinist). The programme included works by Dr. Narong Prangcharoen Dean of the College of Music, Mahidol University, Henryk Wieniawski, Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin. Around 250 people attended the concert. The audience was impressed and gave a standing ovation to the orchestra's performance. The performance not only demonstrates the potential and musical talents of the Thai orchestra, but also fosters cultural connectivity between the peoples of the two nations.
