President Harutyunyan convened an enlarged consultation with participation of the heads of the legislative and executive bodies

On January 19 President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan convened an enlarged consultation with participation of the heads of the legislative and executive bodies.

In his speech, the Head of the State highlighted once again that in order to overcome the challenges facing the state, it is necessary to unite all capable forces and within this context, it is very important that, in general, there is a mutual understanding with parliamentary forces.
"Regardless of the political positions, I am glad that the political forces have the will and consonance to work together on our state and national issues. I am convinced that the positive working atmosphere with both parliamentary and extra-parliamentary forces and non-governmental organizations will help to face the current challenges and successfully overcome the difficult situation," the President said.
Touching upon the executive-legislative cooperation, President Harutyunyan noted that there is an issue of increasing efficiency and instructed the members of the Government to show higher responsibility and cooperativeness. In addition, the President instructed the ministers to conduct discussions with political forces and various public circles before implementing diverse state programs.
"Periodic communication with the public, proper response to the population's requests and problems and regular receptions, as well as transparent working style should be an integral part of your work, otherwise I will make a decision to dismiss you from your position," noted A.Harutyunyan addressing members of the executive power.
According to the President of the Republic, the proposal for possible constitutional reforms has been discussed at the level of consultations with all parliamentary forces since the middle of the last year, but the issue of having a roadmap for adopting the concept and organizing the referendum has yet to be discussed.
"It is important that there is an awareness that the expected changes must take into account all possible internal and external risks and peculiarities and point out the way that will not distract us from our idea of state-building," said President Harutyunyan.
During the meeting, an interested discussion was held on increasing the efficiency of the public administration system, tightening control mechanisms over the spending of state funds, improving the security environment, and other issues related to internal and external challenges.
