Blue Jays Edge Golden Wolves, 14-13

Reading, Pa. (Feb. 26, 2020) - Elizabethtown College (1-1) went on a 5-0 run to spark a 14-13 comeback win over Alvernia University (1-2) on Wednesday evening in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Alvernia.

The Golden Wolves struck first off a goal from , but Elizabethtown scored the next three to go up 3-1 with just under 20 minutes remaining in the first half.

Alvernia would then score four goals in less than three minutes, including two goals from , to go back up 5-3.

The Blue Jays and Golden Wolves would trade goals the rest of the half, with Alvernia scoring the final two of the half to lead 9-6 going into the break.

The Blue Jays scored the opening three goals of the second half to tie it up at 9-9 with 25 minutes remaining.

Alvernia retook the lead goals from and Defibaugh, but then the Blue Jays went on a 5-0 run over 15 minutes to lead 14-11 with 6:17 remaining.

Alvernia trailed by just one, 14-13, following goals from and Defibaugh. The Golden Wolves were able to force a turnover late, but ran out of time to get down field to attempt to tie.

Defibaugh finished the game with four goals, and Reynolds finished with three goals and an assist. finished with two goals and five assists.
