Tyler Police Investigate Homicide

On Monday, May 30, at around 6:15 a.m. Tyler Police dispatch received a 911 call about a disturbance and shots fired in the 800 block of Pinedale Place.

When officers and EMS arrived on the scene, it was discovered that a white male had been shot. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene and began investigating. The victim in this case has been identified as, 33-year-old, Austin Lee Deweerdt.
