Investigation into Body Found at 808 North York Street

May 16, 2022- Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a person found at 808 North York Street about 3 p.m. on Saturday (May 14).

The identity, gender and cause of death of the person are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Patterson and N. Henderson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a 333 South Jensen Drive regarding a body found in a trash can floating in the bayou. Houston Fire Department emergency personnel were called to the scene and secured the trash can near the bank of the bayou. The HPD Dive Team responded to the scene and pulled the body from the bayou at 808 North York.

The investigation is pending the person's cause and manner of death.
