I-15 Paving Project Near Temecula and Murrieta Continues Next Week

INTERSTATE 15 PAVING PROJECT IN TEMECULA AND MURRIETA CONTINUES NEXT WEEK

SAN BERNARDINO- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) continues work on a $6.6 million project to pave the mainline of Interstate 15 (I-15) in Temecula and Murrieta. The project will also remove and construct curb ramps, sidewalk and curb and gutter from just south of the I-15/SR-79 separation to just south of the I-15/I-215 separation. The project was awarded to Calmex Engineering of Bloomington, Calif., and is estimated to be complete in November 2017 (weather permitting).

Next week, crews will continue grinding and paving I-15 near Santiago Road to just north of the I-15/I-215 separation Monday-Friday from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (southbound) and 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (northbound). There will be at least one lane open to traffic during work hours.

Crews have also started work on the wheelchair ramps at Winchester Road and Rancho California Road. There will be no pedestrian access during the work. The work is expected to be completed by September 23, 2017 (weather permitting).
