Groundbreaking is Saturday for pedestrian bridge that will link city's trails east and west of U.S. Highway 75
WHAT:
Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson joins state and local officials, community leaders and others at a ceremony to break ground for a pedestrian bridge that, when it opens in 2023, will connect Northaven Trail east of Central Expressway to city trails on Central's east side. The $9.3 million project is a partnership between the City of Dallas, Dallas County, North Central Texas Council of Governments, Texas Department of Transportation and Friends of Northaven Trail. The bridge will be located in Dallas City Council Districts 10, 11 and 13 and County Commissioner Districts 1 and 2.
