Maintenance Work Temporarily Closes Two West Jordan Playgrounds

(West Jordan) - Beginning on May 2nd and May 3rd, the Wild West Jordan Playground at Veterans Memorial Park (1985 W 7800 S) and the Sierra Newbold Playground at Ron Wood Regional Park (5900 W New Bingham Hwy) will be temporarily closed for essential repairs and surfacing maintenance.

This maintenance isn't just routine; it's about ensuring the safety and longevity of these community hubs. Crews will be hard at work repairing and sealing the floor surfaces, known as "pour and place," to establish a secure and safe foundation below playground equipment.

The playgrounds are expected to reopen on Saturday, May 4th, contingent upon weather conditions cooperating. While the closures might throw a wrench in your pre-weekend plans, it's all in the name of safety first.

During the maintenance period, temporary signs and barriers will be in place to guide residents and ensure their safety. Your patience and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated as the city works diligently to improve our recreational spaces.
