State of Maryland, Baltimore Orioles To Host COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at Camden Yards Over Father’s Day Weekend

ANNAPOLIS, MD-The State of Maryland and the Baltimore Orioles, along with Major League Baseball (MLB), have announced a partnership to host on-site vaccination clinics at Oriole Park at Camden Yards during the homestand beginning Friday, June 18 through Wednesday, June 23, when the Orioles play host to the Toronto Blue Jays and Houston Astros.

The vaccination opportunities are part of the new 'MLB Vaccinate at the Plate ' program, which seeks to increase vaccination rates and help communities recover from the COVID-19 pandemic by offering incentives to unvaccinated fans.

'Our GoVAX Summer Tour is designed to make vaccines accessible to Marylanders at community events across the state,' said Governor Hogan. 'We are grateful to the Orioles and the MLB for their support of the state's vaccination efforts and for stepping up to the plate to help more Marylanders and fans get vaccinated.'

Vaccinations will be offered at Dempsey's Brew Pub & Restaurant, located along the Eutaw Street promenade. Fans can access Dempsey's through the non-ballpark (East) side of the B&O Warehouse. All adults age 18 and over are eligible to receive a vaccine at one of the six available dates during the homestand, beginning four hours prior to first pitch until approximately one-and-a-half hours after first pitch. The vaccine being offered will be the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is currently approved for people ages 18 years and over.

All fans age 18 and over who choose to receive the vaccine at Oriole Park will receive a voucher good for two complimentary Lower Level tickets, redeemable for any game through July 11. Fans may redeem their voucher by presenting it at the Main Box Office, located at the north end of the Warehouse by Gate H.

Game tickets are not required to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at Oriole Park. Appointments are encouraged but not required, and walk-ups will be accommodated. Fans may pre-register for a vaccination appointment by visiting orioles.com/vaccine. Free parking will be available in Lot C, located off West Lee Street. Fans must wear a mask during their vaccination appointment.

The 'MLB Vaccinate at the Plate' initiative is part of the club's ongoing efforts, in partnership with Major League Baseball, to promote vaccination education and provide resources to the Birdland community. In this effort, the Orioles have established a club goal of a 100% vaccination rate within the organization, from both the players on the field to the staff inside the warehouse. The Orioles have also been offering free COVID-19 testing to the fans of Birdland during home games at Oriole Park since late April, an initiative which will continue along the Lower Level Concourse outside Section 26 in conjunction with the Maryland Department of Health and the Maryland COVID-19 Testing Task Force.

Throughout the season, the Orioles are also inviting local front line and healthcare workers to select games in honor of their selfless dedication to keeping Baltimore safe. The team will welcome members of the Baltimore City Health Department, Johns Hopkins Hospital, the University of Maryland Medical Center, MedStar Health, Sinai Hospital, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, and Mercy Medical Center at various games throughout the year.

Additionally, during every Orioles home game-whether in the ballpark or watching on MASN-fans are encouraged to 'Take One For the Team and Get the Vaccine' by Orioles players and front office staff through educational public service announcements.
