On February 15, the first hoisting of Pelješki most in Croatia in the new year was completed, realizing the hoisting and erection of R203 large section. Croatian Prime Minister Plenković learned about the bridge construction on site and watched the hoisting of R203 large section.
Plenković expressed his sympathy and thanks to all Chinese builders and sent his best wishes for the Chinese New Year. He pointed out that the Pelješki most is of great strategic significance to Croatia, and the Chinese builders have ensured the progress and quality of the bridge construction while properly carrying out epidemic prevention and control. He hopes that all participants will overcome the impact of the epidemic and ensure the smooth completion of the bridge.
The Pelješki most in Croatia is the largest infrastructure project between China and Croatia, and it is also a key livelihood project since the founding of Croatia, connecting the Croatian mainland and the Pelješac. The bridge is a six tower steel box girder cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 2,440m. ZPMC has undertaken the block assembly of 84 of the 165 steel box girders in the project.
