Two individuals arrested in connection with vehicle theft, flight from police

A 23-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, from Beaconsfield, N.B., have been arrested in connection with a vehicle theft and flight from police in the western region of the province.

On April 20, 2024, police received a report that a Ford F250 had been stolen from a residence in Nackawic.

On April 21, police received information that the truck was observed being spray painted black in Monquart, N.B. Police later located the vehicle travelling south on Highway 130, however, the vehicle immediately sped off and was driving in and out of oncoming traffic. Police did not pursue the vehicle.

On April 23, police received a number of reports that the truck had been seen in the Johnville area. RCMP Air Services were called in to assist, along with RCMP Police Dog Services, the West District Community Crime Reduction Unit, and General Duty members. The truck was later located at a residence on South Johnville Road. As police approached the truck, two suspects were observed running into a white car that then fled the scene. The car was later located in a wooded area nearby, and Police Dog Services tracked the suspects to a well-known residence in the area. A search warrant was executed at the residence, and a 23-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

On April 24, Marshall Dylon Turner appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court, and was charged with:

  • Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Two counts of breach of probation
  • Flight from Police
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

He was remanded into custody, and is scheduled to return to court on April 25.

The investigation is ongoing.
