J&K Bank conducts DLRCC Meet in Anantnag

To review the performance of banks and line departments for the September quarter under District Credit Action Plan 2021-22, J&K Bank conducted a District Level Review Cum Consultative Committee (DLRCC) meeting that was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag Piyush Singla (IAS) at Dak Bungalow in Anantnag. The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Cluster Head (I), and district coordinators of all banks and district officers of sponsoring departments.

Speaking on the occasion, LDM Anantnag Mohammad Afaaq informed the house that Rs 1243.67 Cr have been disbursed by various banks among 47949 beneficiaries against a credit target of Rs 3466 Cr thereby achieving target of 35.87 % up to the end of 2nd quarter. Under Agriculture & allied sectors Rs 495.43 Cr have been disbursed to 25023 beneficiaries while as under MSME sector Rs 229.54 Cr to 5046 beneficiaries with total disbursal of Rs 782.76 Cr to 31786 beneficiaries in Priority sector achieving 27 % of the set target. Under Non Priority sector 16163 beneficiaries have received Rs 460.90 Cr which is 76 % in terms of target achievement financially. The total deposits and advances in the district have been recorded at Rs 6450.13 Cr and Rs 4670.76 Cr respectively with CD Ratio of 72.41 %.

Directing the line departments to identify genuine prospective entrepreneurs on fast track basis so that economy of district is boosted, Chairman DLRCC Piyush Singla advised them to focus on agriculture and allied sectors to involve unemployed youth of the district under dairy, sheep farming, fish farming for which youth can avail the subsidy benefits under various welfare schemes.

Besides advising all the banks and sponsoring agencies to join hands to support unemployed youth DDC urged the banks to ensure zero pendency in sponsoring cases.

Notably J&K Bank alone has contributed 72% by disbursing an aggregate amount of Rs 894.37 Cr out of Rs 1243.67 Crores. And RSETI Anantnag has imparted training to 3 batches of 53 candidates during the Quarter.
