Public transport is being restored and peaceful life is being restored in Stepanakert

In the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh, Stepanakert, peaceful life is being restored with the assistance of the Interdepartmental Centre for Humanitarian Response. The city has restored public transport and established road traffic, electricity and water supply. Civilians continue to return to their homes.

Engineering and technical units of the Russian contingent of peacekeeping forces continue to assist the local administration in clearing public roads and restoring social infrastructure in Stepanakert city.

Russian peacekeepers ensure the safe return of refugees and the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Ensuring the safety of the return of refugees and the safety of movement across the contact line of civilians to return to their homes is organized under the guidance and control of the Interdepartmental Humanitarian Response Centre.

In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 (Moscow time) on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.

To monitor the ceasefire and military operations, a peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation is being deployed in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

The core of the Russian contingent will be units of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade (peacekeeping) of the Central Military District.
