1.Parties to the legal matter: Plaintiff:Tatung Company Defendant:CPT 2.Name of the court or punishing agency of the legal matter: IN THE SUPREME COURT OF BERMUDA 3.Reference/Case number of relevant documents of the legal matter: IN THE SUPREME COURT OF BERMUDA Civil Jurisdiction commercial Court 2022 No. 98 4.Date of occurrence of the event:2022/05/23 5.Details of occurrence (including the matter under dispute): CPT learned today that plaintiff (Tatung company) held the endorsement and guarantee contract with CPT on December 25, 2015 (the total amount outstanding as of December 14, 2018 NT $1995144888 (about US $72 million) applied to the Supreme Court of Bermuda for an order in the form of a summons attached Plaintiff (Tatung company)seeks an order in the form annexed hereto for the appointment of joint and several receivers to receive (and sell as appropriate) the Security and the dividends, profits, interest and other moneys receivable in respect of CPT's interest in the Security to be transferred to Tatung for the unpaid Total Outstanding Sum as well as any interest and the costs of enforcement. The defendant (CPT) shall arrange to respond to the lawsuit within 28 days after receiving this summons. 6.Handling procedure: CPT will invite lawyers to discuss and evaluate the follow-up processing methods in order to protect the rights and interests of CPT and CPTB shareholders in accordance with the law. 7.Impact on the Company's finance and business and projected amount: Under evaluation 8.Countermeasures and improvement status: CPT has received the notice and will make an assessment and decide on the follow-up method to protect the company's rights and interests. 9.Any other matters that need to be specified:None |
