Postponed: Sidewalk improvements in Chula

St. Joseph, Mo. - A sidewalk improvement project on Route K in Chula that was expected to begin today, May 9, has been postponed to Monday, May 13, due to supply issues. The project to help ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), funded in part through the Transportation Alternatives Program, will improve sidewalks in Chula, Ludlow and Wheeling.

Work on Route K in Chula is now expected to be complete by Tuesday, May 14. Crews then plan to begin construction on Route B in Wheeling on Wednesday, May 15.

The project is expected to be complete by late June.

Some lane closures will be necessary throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and follow all traffic control, flaggers, signs and barricades. All vehicles and personal property will need to be removed from the work area prior to start of construction.
