Bubbling Springs Park update

Upgrades Coming to Bubbling Springs Park in Spring of 2025! On February 26^th the City of Port Hueneme held a groundbreaking ceremony to launch the Bubbling Springs Park Renewal Project. This transformative project promises to revitalize one of the community's treasured recreational spaces, providing residents with new and enhanced recreational amenities. The renovation project is a significant investment in the health and well-being of the Port Hueneme community. The project is estimated to cost approximately $15,000,000, and is being funded with a combination of grants ($7.5 million), ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) Funding ($3 million), and City funding ($5 million). Improvements that will be included in the Bubbling Springs Park Renovation Project:

Renovated Baseball and T-Ball Fields with Lighting: The project will include renovated baseball fields and a batting cage, along with snack bar and other facilities.

Multi-Use Sports Facilities for Soccer and Football: Bubbling Springs Park will include multi-use sports fields that will allow for soccer and football play.

Dog Parks: The project will also include large and small dog parks.

Inclusive Playground: Families can look forward to a brand-new inclusive playground that combines modern design, accessibility, and safety features, creating an engaging space for children.

Picnic Areas with Shade Structures: The project will include picnic areas with shade structures for use by the community.

Fitness Zones: Fitness enthusiasts will find fitness equipment along the Bubbling Springs Path.

Improved Accessibility: The project will include several improvements intended to improve accessibility, such as installation of sidewalks and accessible walkways.

The park is slated to reopen Spring of 2025!
